85-90 days. If you live in the far north with a very short growing season, onion sets are a nearly foolproof method of successfully producing bulb onions. These long-day onions can also produce a very quick crop in gardens with a longer growing season. We recommend waiting to plant, as the crops may bolt if planted too early. Our open pollinated selection produces slightly flattened bulbs that are best eaten fresh or processed promptly. Certified free of white rot and stem nematode.
